A plan to close portions of two streets and additional laneways to make way for the Brodie Avenue Storm Water Pond were given unanimous support by Yorkton Council at its regular meeting Monday.
The City will close portions of Brodie Avenue, Agriculture Avenue and laneways within the adjacent block, following unanimous consent of Yorkton Council at its regular meeting Monday.
"The closures will facilitate development of the Brodie Avenue storm water pond and will serve to properly delineate the built roadway at the Agricultural Avenue/Broadway Street intersection," detailed a report circulated to Council.
In accordance with The Cities Act and The Planning and Development Act, closure of the right-of-way requires a Council Bylaw.
