Business awards attract strong interest

Just over 100 nominations have been received for the Yorkton Chamber of Commerce Celebrate Success Business Awards.

Amie Zamonsky, Chair of the Celebrate Success Committee is pleased with the number of nominations. "We extended the deadline and the community came through for us," she said. "There are 10 categories for which nominations can be received and they are all quite full."

Since the deadline for receiving the nominations was extended, the deadline for completing the Nominee Information Packages has also been extended. "The completed packages are not due until Monday, February 6," said Juanita Polegi, Executive Director of the Chamber. "We will receive the packages until 5:00 p.m. at the Chamber office."

Once the packages are all in, a panel of seven judges will be convened to review them and select the Award recipients. A luncheon announcing the finalists will be held Thursday, February 16.
