The July 1 storm came too late to disrupt festivities at the Western Development Museum's annual Canada Day Picnic on a hot afternoon last week. Hundreds were in attendance, with the year's new attractions including an archery shoot and a geocaching event. Members of Dance Innovations including Zachariah Kostersky opened an afternoon of live entertainment. Plenty of partygoers dressed up to show their pride on Canada's 143rd birthday. Carnival games, antique cars, and wagon rides were among the other attractions at the museum.
