The Caring Closet, located in the basement of Safire on 39 Broadway Street West is making support more accessible to women by offering a variety of shoes, accessories and elegant clothing in sizes ranging from zero to plus-size. Because every person is her own unique individual, different styles of clothing are also available. The outfits are recommended for job interviews, work placements and other educational purposes.
When opportunities open and determination is just around the corner, the question then becomes: How will I meet my business goals? The encouraging Samaritans of the charity are always looking for ways to retain clients and maintain positive attitudes.
"The clothes aren't doing any good just sitting on the hangers," said Giovanna Kada, career counsellor at Dream Builders. "We would really like to see more women using the Caring Closet because we know there's a need for this service in Yorkton."
At the Caring Closet, clients browse through stylish outfits to take home for free. The experience is dynamic, memorable and beneficial. Amber Machae, one of the clients, expresses her feelings by saying, "it's a confidence booster." Amber was upbeat about the experience and managed to keep her optimism.
