New exhibitions at the Godfrey Dean Gallery in Yorkton!

"A Fading Light: 25 Years of Photography at SIAST" Jan. 10 to Feb. 12, 2012. 25 Saskatchewan photographers commemorate the SIAST program with portraiture, documentary, commercial and fine art work. The program was closed in 2011.

"Mixed Messages, Fragmented Stories" Jan. 15 to Feb. 5, 2012. Holly Hildebrand weaves personal objects and domestic stories into large textile works.

"Words & Wanderlust" On now through February, Regina artist Louise Tessier combines heart felt travel photography with poetic quotes.

Assiniboine Food Security Alliance (AFSA) is hosting a viewing of the movie Farmageddon. This even will be held at the Alliance Church at 185 Allanbrooke Dr. on Jan. 17. Yorkton Bowl Arena is teaming up with select bowling centres across the country as the Canadian bowling community gets into the fight for life and fights back against cancer. The Knockdown Cancer campaign aims to bring awareness of cancer and cancer prevention to our communities and to encourage everyone to join the fight for life. Throughout the month of January Yorkton Bowl Arena will be donating 25 cents from every paid shoe rental to the Canadian Cancer Society in the First Annual Knockdown Cancer Campaign.
