Separate school voters returned three incumbents and added one newcomer to represent Yorkton on the Christ the Teacher Catholic Schools (CTTCS) board.

Interestingly, it was the previously unelected Sheri-Lynne Federowich, a retired RCMP sergeant, who garnered the most votes with 1,129. Jerome Niezgoda, Dwayne Todas and Patricia Zaryski were re-elected with 980, 863 and 766 votes respectively. First-timer Jenny Zarowny narrowly missed out with 715 votes.

The City of Melville also had one more candidate running than the number of positions with four hopefuls vying for three seats.

Lisa Rathgeber, who held the CTTCS chair going into the election came in first with 326 votes.

Angie Rogalski, who represented Melville Rural before the election, garnered 291 votes for second place.

Rounding out the Melville contingent was newcomer Brian Hicke with 284 votes. Outgoing vice-chair Theresa Wilson lagged well behind with 140 votes.

The trustees to fill the three rural seats were all acclaimed. Dwight Guy and Erin Gibson return to the board representing Yorkton Rural and Theodore and area respectively.

Monique Chaban replaces Rogalski in Melville Rural.

The election results became official as of Noon, October 28.

Christ the Teacher swore in its board at an organizational meeting last night.
