The public can gain some insights into the candidates for the upcoming municipal election by attending a pair of events scheduled for October.
The Yorkton Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the events.
The first will be a forum for those candidates seeking one of the six Councillor positions.
It will be held 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, at the Gallagher Centre.
The Chamber will pose questions to these candidates and there will be an opportunity for the public to ask questions as well.
The second will be a debate for the candidates seeking the office of mayor.
It will be held 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, at the Gallagher Centre.
A panel will pose a series of questions to the mayoral candidates and then the floor will be open to written questions from the audience.
Candidates for councillor will also be invited to the Oct. 18, event so that they may be introduced and to meet the public but they will not be invited to speak.
