A 50-year-old Yorkton man is back in custody again after allegedly threatening someone following a court appearance last week.
Michael Winter was in Yorkton Provincial Court June 1 to speak to five charges including assaulting a police officer related to an alleged incident at the RCMP municipal detachment in early May.
Following the June 1 appearance, during which the case was adjourned to June 28, police received a complaint from an alleged witness to the detachment incident and charged Winter with uttering threats, attempted obstruction of justice and breach of probation.
He is currently released on conditions after being sentenced in January to time-served and six months probation for marijuana trafficking.
Winter appeared in court again June 2 on the new charges and was remanded in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled for today (June 8).
