Yorkton RCMP has closed a three-year-old cold case.

Dalin Davidson of Yorkton is charged with forcible confinement and assault with a weapon.

On March 30, 2011 police responded to a complaint by a woman who said she had been attacked and forcibly confined.

Allegedly a young man driving a pickup truck had stopped her and chatted with her briefly before getting out of the truck. He then grabbed her, she said, put a knife to her throat and forced her into the back of the vehicle.

She managed to break free and got away uninjured.

At the time police suspected another individual who they arrested in April for soliciting and assault. In both of those cases, the man had approached the women in a pickup truck.

He was never charged with this third offence, however.

The RCMP arrested Davidson November 13 and he made his first court appearance the following morning in Yorkton Provincial Court.

He was released on a recognizance and scheduled to appear again December 22.
