The Mosaic Company continues to demonstrate its commitment to the province with a $4,000,000 donation to the Children's Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan. The announcement was made today, as the Foundation's "Be a Part of It" Capital Campaign was unveiled.
"On behalf of all of Mosaic's 1,700 plus employees in Saskatchewan, I'm pleased to continue our history of supporting important community causes," said Norm Beug, Senior Vice-President of Potash Operations for the Mosaic Company. "Today's announcement is an investment in Saskatchewan's future generations - our children - and that's an investment that strengthens our communities, our company and our province."
Mosaic's significant donation has been designated as a gift to enhance maternal equipment, research and patient care services to support patients and families at the new Children's Hospital of Saskatchewan. Mosaic will also fully underwrite the advertising and promotion of the "Be a Part of It" Capital Campaign. This incredible gift from Mosaic enables the Children's Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan to encourage our province to truly "Be a Part of It".
"Our donation ensures that all the money raised for the Capital Campaign goes directly to the needs of our province's children and their families," added Beug.
In recognition of this generous gift, mothers, newborns and their families staying in the hospital after the birth of their child will see the Mosaic name greet them as they receive care in the postpartum unit.
"We are very grateful and pleased to recognize Mosaic today for its contribution. This donation to the Children's Hospital will help our dedicated staff and physicians provide exceptional care, supported by the latest technology and equipment, in an environment that is truly patient- and family centered," says Maura Davies, President and CEO, Saskatoon Health Region.
The money raised during the Capital Campaign will fund investments in new pediatric and maternal equipment, research and education, and patient care service enhancements.
