Cheryl Zankl, Regional Vice-President and Candace Tendler, Banking Centre Leader Branch Manager for CIBC recently presented a cheque for $6,500 to Ross Fisher, Executive Director, of The Health Foundation, to assist with purchasing a new CT scanner.
“CIBC is pleased to continue our long-term support of The Health Foundation of East Central Saskatchewan,” says Kathleen Woodard, Senior Vice President and Region Head. “At CIBC, we strive to help strengthen the communities in which our clients and employees live and work. This includes supporting cancer care and prevention, thus making us proud to help advance cancer treatment in Yorkton with a contribution towards the new CT scanner, ensuring residents receive the best care possible.”
“CIBC has consistently been a strong supporter of our work,” said Ross Fisher. “This donation comes at a great time as we are hoping to finish the fundraising for the CT scanner in the next few weeks. This donation will help to move us closer to our goal and help to keep the great momentum we have going.”
“We are very grateful for this generous donation from CIBC as it is so important we raise the money to be able to buy the new CT scanner,” continued Mr. Fisher. The benefit of a new CT scanner is clear: better technology means better images for diagnosis. It means medical conditions get caught earlier. For many medical conditions that’s important – it can make a huge difference in the quality of life a patient has after treatment. In some cases it will make a life or death difference.
