Circa 1938 - This is a clear photo of the area of Jubilee Park, taken during some special event, as there is a Ferris wheel in the far left corner. This area was once used for the Exhibition grounds prior to 1916, when the present site was purchased. In the background one can see the flour mill and its elevator, and to the right is the Great West Refinery. No date is given on the picture from the Collection of Ed Saher, but the Great West Refinery was established in 1935. Jubilee Park was likely named in 1932. That year Yorkton celebrated 50 years of settlement.
