City Administration once again provided the regular meeting of Yorkton Council Monday with a Public Awareness Report.

Items included were;

• Ditching and pipeline installation continues along Hwy 10 in between Highway 9 and Mayhew and the contract for roadway construction has been awarded and agreements signed. The traffic plan is now under review and construction is expected to start Monday, July 20th.

• Home owners are reminded that they are required to prune any trees on their property that hang over into back lanes or front sidewalks and obstruct alley or sidewalk access. Trees are to be pruned to the property line and to a height of thirteen feet above the ground in back alleys, and to a height of ten feet above the ground at front sidewalks

• Canada Post has begun breaking ground on community mailboxes throughout the city. Constituents are advised to call the Canada Post Customer Service toll free number 1- 844- 454-3009 for further information.

• Deer Park Golf Course is hosting two major special tournaments this summer, first the Junior Men’s and Women’s Championship July 20, 21 and 22, and the Canadian Junior Girl’s Championship August 3 – 7.
