Conceptual funds

Ron and Gaylene Skinner presented a cheque for $1,000 to Ross Fisher, Executive Director of The Health Foundation, on behalf of Ron Skinner Realty. The donation is being made to assist funding the conceptual plan for a new regional hospital. "Planning for a new hospital makes a lot of sense," said Ron Skinner. There has been a lot of commercial investment coming into this area the last couple of years and in addition to that we have seen a real surge in the housing market the last few years. That increase in new housing development doesn't look like it is slowing down at all." "The commercial and business sector in this area is growing significantly and our population is growing along with that. If something like a mine goes ahead in this area in the next few years that will have a huge impact on our local economy and our population. The health region needs to plan to be sure they can deliver the services we will need in the coming years," he continued. "I'm very pleased that Ron and Gaylene are making this donation. They have been great supporters of the work of The Health Foundation for years and we are very pleased that they continue to support our work and the community," said Ross Fisher.
