Ray Dierker and Darryl Wilson presented a cheque for $1,000 to Ross Fisher, Executive Director of The Health Foundation, to help fund the conceptual plan for a new regional hospital. "The hospital is a big part of why Yorkton has such a large trading area. People come here from hours away for medical care; we need a good regional hospital here and it has to be able to provide service to the whole of our trading area," said Darryl Wilson. Ray and I have seen the other businesses making a donation so we talked about it, and we both think it makes sense to be planning for a new hospital so we decided to show our support by making a donation," continued Mr. Wilson. "We know a new hospital isn't going to happen overnight," said Ray Dierker, "but you have to start moving the process forward. You need to show the government that the community supports a new hospital. The current hospital is getting old and it's pretty clear that a new hospital will be a big improvement." "This is a very generous donation, and we are very glad to have Ray and Darryl and Integra Tire supporting the conceptual plan with a donation. The Conceptual plans will be presented to the public this week, and submitted to the government shortly. Ray is correct in that it is very important the government sees the community is solidly behind a new hospital when the report is submitted," said Mr. Fisher. Integra Tire is the 92nd business to make a donation. The Health Foundation anticipates having 100 business donations to the conceptual plan.
