Police are looking for a middle-aged man who they believe may have information about the disappearance of Meykala Bali.
A press release stressed the individual, described as a male between 40- and 50-years-old with stocky build and muscular arms, is not a suspect in any possible wrongdoing.
Nevertheless they wish to identify and speak to him.
The RCMP has received numerous tips including the unknown adult male may have information related to the missing 16-year-old Sacred Heart High School student.
This person may have last been seen April 12 at a business on 1st Avenue North in Yorkton between 1 and 1:45 p.m.—the same day Bali’s family reported her missing and around the time and area she was last seen as well.
Additional descriptive information provided about the man includes: 5’10” to 6’2” in height; dark hair; a large tattoo below his left elbow of a cross surrounded by flames; a circular, multi-coloured tattoo on his right bicep/tricep area; a red, ¾-inch scar, or scratch, on his left cheek; and wearing a dark, navy vest jacket with rear elastic waste band.
The media release also stressed reports and rumours on social media pages saying Bali has been located are not true.
“We encourage anyone with information—big or small—to contact Yorkton RCMP at 306-786-2400 or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477,” the release stated.
