In the story, “Bail granted in police assault” (Page A6, Yorkton This Week, May 18, 2016), it was erroneously suggested that Michael Winter entered the Yorkton RCMP detachment “wielding a knife.” Mr. Winter was charged with possession of a knife for a purpose dangerous to the public peace or for the purpose of committing an offence, but it is not alleged that he entered the detachment with the weapon exposed. Yorkton This Week apologizes for the error.
