After announcing an exciting line-up featuring Blake Shelton, The Band Perry, Rascal Flatts and more, Dauphin's Countryfest is pleased to announce they have sold out of weekend passes, VIP Passes and all camping spots for the 25th anniversary festival. Tickets went on sale yesterday morning and in a mere 90 minutes were sold-out - beating last year's sell-out record of 12 hours.
"We're thrilled that tickets sold out in less than two hours, which is even quicker than last year," says Eric Irwin, president of Dauphin's Countryfest. "Our event has a legacy of providing a truly unique experience for patrons, and our promoter Rob Waloschuk did a great job of putting together a first-rate program of world-class country music and lining up the artists that our patrons want."
In honour of its 25th anniversary, Dauphin's Countryfest is giving away prizes on the 25th of each month. Everyone who purchased a weekend pass, VIP pass or Supporter Pak is eligible to win. The next giveaway on November 25th is a trip for two to Mexico. The grand prize, a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado, will be given away at the festival.
More announcements about the 25th Dauphin's Countryfest will follow in the coming months. For more information please visit www.countryfest.ca.
ABOUT DAUPHIN'S COUNTRYFEST
Canada's longest running country music festival, Dauphin's Countryfest, is celebrating its 25th anniversary June 26-29, 2014. Since 1990, the four-day camping music festival on the edge of Riding Mountain National Park has been attracting the biggest names in country music to one of the most beautiful regions of rural Manitoba. With a capacity of 14,000, the unique outdoor amphitheatre built into the side of a naturally occurring hill provides every patron a perfect view from any seat in the house.
Dauphin's Countryfest is a not-for-profit organization that consists of a 12-member volunteer Board of Directors and a membership of over 2000 loyal supporters. Organizers credit over 2000 volunteers who work tirelessly each year providing essential services for the festival weekend, while fundraising for their respective community organizations. Countryfest contributes approximately $150,000 annually toward these organizations for providing these services.
