Craft show planned

After a beautiful Baptismal service at the United Church to welcome Pacey Elizabeth Barber, daughter of Sara & Jay Barber, of Swiftcurrent, SK (grand daughter of Kent and Sandy Ritchie) to the church. Several family members and friends gathered at the Busy Bees centre for a very tasteful brunch. Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Dan Barber of Sewart Valley, SK, Chris Barber and his two children Jonathan and Sierra of Swiftcurrent, Scott Vickers of Churchbridge, Dwayne and Maxine Brougette of Churchbridge and Charlie Herman of Roblin, MB.

It was nice to see Dorothy Leppington of Yorkton and her daughter Linda & Glenn Handelman of Regina in church on Sunday.

Word has been received of the passing of the former Bernice Trembly of Edmonton, AB. Bernice was the daughter of Frank & Mary Trembly who were former residents of Bredenbury.

It's great to hear Don Mitchell is back in Melville hospital. We all wish you a speedy recovery Don.Bredenbury Winter Lights held their meeting last Thursday. The Light Up committee will be holding a work bee on Sat., Nov. 13 and Sun., Nov. 14, also Sat., Nov. 20 and Sun., Nov 21. They are looking for volunteers to help so the work can be completed. If you can help, just let a commitee member know. If you have lights to put up high in trees etc., please have them ready for the workers when they come, as these dates may be the only dates that the machines will be available.

If you have any old CDs that you don't want anymore they are needed for childrens crafts on Dec. 1. Please contact Jayleen Newfield at 898-4660.

The annual craft show will take place Nov. 27, 10:00 a.m - 2:00 p.m at the town hall. A few tables are still available, contact Louise at 898-2034 or Margaret at 898-2122. Also the United Church are asking for baking for the bake table. Please have your baking in by 9 a.m. for pricing. Thank you. Lunch available. Everyone welcome.

Dec. 4, there will be a fund raiser roast beef dinner in the hall. A limited number of tickets are available. For tickets please contact Louise at 898-2034 or Margaret at 898-2122. The proceeds will help to rebuild the basement that was flooded in the church this summer.

The community Social Evening, sponsored by the Lions will be held Dec. 7 in the hall. Everybody welcome.

The Rink Board is serving supper Tuesday night. Come and let them do the cooking!

Bredenbury Light Up Night - Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Bredenbury Skating Rink. Hamburger or hotdog & beverage for a toonie. Free skating, sleigh rides, face painting, cookie decorating for the children. Visit from Santa. Everyone welcome.
