A Yorkton man who pleaded guilty last week to dangerous driving causing death will spend 11 months behind bars.
On October 22 2009, Christopher Sharpe was driving near Spy Hill when he rolled his vehicle. Two passengers, Gregory Turner and Paul Brown were thrown from the truck. Both men died at the scene, but investigators could not determine if one of the deaths was a result of the crash or subsequently being run over by another vehicle.
Sharpe was charged with impaired driving causing death, dangerous driving causing death, impaired driving causing bodily harm and dangerous driving causing bodily harm. The impaired charges were ultimately withdrawn and on April 3, 2014 Sharpe pleaded guilty to the dangerous driving charges.
On January 22, Judge Koskie delivered his decision of incarceration for 11 months.
