A carload of local women attended the Ladies Night Out Community Hall Fundraiser in Waldron last Saturday evening. A lovely beef roast and all the trimmings catered supper was enjoyed which was then followed by entertainment by "Elvis Presley" and "Roy Orbison". During the evening, there were silent auction prizes, many raffle prizes and 4 door prizes given out to lucky winners. By the laughter echoing throughout the hall, it is safe to say, it was a fun-filled evening.
In the midst of several cold, windy, rainy and snowy days, the sun shone and the warm weather was welcomed on Saturday for the Kaczur Auction Sale. Many family members, friends and former neighbours joined the bidding crowd to enjoy a day at a spring farm auction. Bernice and John arrived Monday from Strathmore to get everything set up and ready for Saturday morning. Their daughter, Raeleen Giles and sons, Ethan and Ashton, of Calgary arrived Friday. This was the very first farm auction Raeleen had ever attended and she was quite taken with it all. Their son, Travis, was unable to attend.
Welcome home to Sheldon and Charmaine Freed and their girls, Hunter, Randolyn and Allysa (Jerrod Schlecter) and little grandson, Kale, who have just returned from a 10 day holiday to Cancun and Playa del Carmen. While they were relaxing and enjoying some family time, Julie Duchek and Breanne Persson did a great job looking after their cliental back at the Bernier Street Hotel.
Coffee row on Tuesday was lively with 23 people attending. Out of town guests were Rudy Duchek of Grayson and Cian Beck and a friend, Shamus, who were in town visiting Cian`s grandparents, Earle and Nina Moller, enroute from BC to London, ON. Sharon Clark stopped in for only a few minutes on her way to Esterhazy to introduce Irene Hawes to everyone. Irene is living with her grandson, Arrick, at the former John Kaczur residence. We hope you girls will join us for a real coffee row visit soon.
