Eva Huber and Lois Lomenda from Stockholm attended coffee row on Tues., Dec. 13. Eva does lovely baking and had a display of Christmas favorites for sale all morning. She also had Avon displayed for sale & some Christmas presents (mostly for the purchasers themselves) were bought.

The Yorkton Co-op Association held its Fall Delegates meeting Dec. 12 at St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Cultural Centre. A catered turkey supper preceded the meeting. Ken Allan, Daniel Farkas, Bev Ottenbreit, James Talbot and Ken Zimmer were delgates representing the Dubuc Co-op area. Andy Orosz, who is the Director from this alrea, was also in attendance and received a watch for 25 years of service on the Co-op board. The presentation was made to him by the President of the board, Gene Krepakevitch.
Audrey Neilsen and Leona Kaczur were each presented with lovely Christmas Pointsetta plants by the coffee row gang. These girls are very dedicated to making the coffee and generally making sure that coffee row happens. Thanks for including us in your busy schedules Girls
Congratulations go to Dan Krepakevitch of Yorkton from Dubuc friends. Dan has been a Sask Crop Insurance subscriber for the fifty years since Sask Crop Ins. was formed in 1961. His contract number is 11. Crop Insurance celebrated 50 years in existence by hosting open houses at all its Sk offices. Dan Krepakevitch is married to former Dubuc Hotel proprietor Doris (Letestu) Krepakevitch.
Condolences to Judy (Slater) Fedrau and sons, Gordie, Doug and Jeff and their families on the passing of their husband and father, Menno, of Morden, Manitoba. A Memorial Service was held in the Morden Centre on Dec. 12.

A couple families and friends, (from age 2 to 62!) joined together to bring some cheer to village residents the weekend before Christmas. They camouflaged their little Massey-Ferguson tractor as Rudolph, complete with a glowing red nose, and hooked him to a flat bed wagon with straw bales for seating. They had a great time singing Christmas carols to those they found at home. Hot chocolate, snacks and visiting completed the fun evening.
August and Jozi Little-Reader from Surrey, BC are visiting their Dad, Alex Little, and Paulette Olivier for Christmas holidays arriving Dec. 19 and returning to Surrey by plane from Regina on Jan. 1. Alex is residing in the former John Talbot residence on Noel Street. A warm welcome from our community is wished to each one of you.
Many proud parents and grandparents from Dubuc took in the MacDonald School Christmas Concert in Stockholm on Wednesday evening. The children put on a very enjoyable show for everyone. The singing was especially good this year. Good work, everyone!
On Dec. 22, forty people attended a community church service in the Dubuc Worship Centre. The service of carols and candles, a Celebration of the Real Reason for the Season, was led by Reverend Heather Rogers from the United Church in Esterhazy.
Mary Ramstead has moved from her home in Shellbrook to Mount Saint Joseph Care Home in Prince Albert. Mary's only daughter, Ivy, and Barry Bauldry, reside in Prince Albert. Everyone sends greetings and best wishes, and we all hope you are nicely settled in your new home, Mary.
Congratulations to new parents, Doug and Jill Rue, and big sister, Rachel, of Medicine Hat, AB, who welcomed a new baby boy, Gavin Robert, on Dec. 4. Best wishes also go out to new grandparents, Ivy and Barry Bauldry and great grandma, Mary Ramstead. The baby was named after our dear friend, the late Bob (Robert) Davies, who was Mary's nephew and "uncle" to the others.

Gary and Norma (Topliss) Granat from Turtle Lake near Livelong in Northern Sask were Christmas week visitors with her sister, Irene and Murray Bawden, her brother, Lanny Topliss and other relatives and friends in the area. Gary accompanied Murray to coffee row at "The Hut" while here.
Aunt Lydia Zimmer was a Christmas Day dinner guest with her nephew Earle and Nina Moller. Lydia, at 103 years of age, is a resident of the Bentley in Yorkton.
Melba and Ron McAlpine returned to the home farm to have Christmas Eve and a sleepover with daughter Rhonda and John Haubrick, Shirelle and Marty. They enjoyed being with the grandkids to open presents Christmas morning. The Haubrick family then motored out to Lethbridge to visit with her sister, Michelle (McAlpine) and Dion Nagy and their daughter, Stephanie, who was home from university for the holidays. The Nagy`s son, Derek, is residing in Houston, Texas and was unable to be home for Christmas but the rest of the family will be meeting him in the Dominican Republic early in January.

Sharon Clark spent Christmas with sons, Darrell from Sechelt, BC and Stacey (Lana) and their families at Stacey's home at Clavet. Crystal and Pete Semchyshen and family joined everyone at the bowling alley for their annual Boxing Day family Bowling Challenge. Darrell and his niece, Tierre, were the winning partners this year beating out the reigning champions from the last 3 years, Stacey and Desiree.
John and Joan Wilson motored to Mazenod to spend Christmas at their daughter, Brenda (Gord) Junck's home with all their children, grandchildren and great-grandson present: Mike (Alana) Wilson, Manor; Kent (Kathy) Wilson, Saskatoon; Maureen (Barb) Wilson, Shaunavon; and all their families.
Julie and Joey Duchek and children, Paisley and Keaton had Joey's family visiting over Christmas holidays: parents, Larry and Bridgette Duchek of Brandon and Joey's sister, Michelle and her family also from MB.
Welcome back to Dubuc, Jade! Jade Stadel and Kyle Slater moved a mobile home into Dubuc earlier this fall into the former Tom and Toots Nord yard on the West side of town and have finally moved in just in time for Christmas. Jade is an RN at the Care Home in Esterhazy. A note of interest: Kyle is the grandson of the late Bruce and Beatrice Slater - Bruce was a brother to Oliver (Anne) and Jim Slater who resided in the Sprucedale district North of Dubuc.
Pete and Rosie Nagy, Jeanine (Corey) Chesney and boys of Waldron, Ellisha (Jason) Maki, Keely-Shay and her little 5 month old brother, Slade William, all of Churchbridge, and also, Jade and Kyle celebrated Christmas with Patsy Nagy and Dave Wyporowich on their acreage at Bangor.
Cailee Bell was home for the holidays with parents, Jacqui (Shivak) and Darrell Bell and brother Clay. She is attending university in Saskatoon. Logan was home for Christmas from Churchbridge and Mallory was also home from Calgary for a few days. They all visited with grandparents, Don and Glenda Bell and great-grandma, Jessie Stokes, as well as their Stockholm Shivak relatives.
