Many Dubuc folk attended the 100th anniversary celebrations for the RM of Fertile Belt #183 held in Stockholm on Aug. 17. Some attended the pancake breakfast and reported that it was very tasty. The parade entertained everyone lining the streets with the floats, antique cars and equipment, horses, RCMP and fire engines to name just a few things. The heavy horse pulls at the ball park were exciting and symbolic of the work horses of days gone by. The day concluded with a lovely roast beef supper with all the trimmings. Several dignitaries were present during the celebration to bring greetings and reminince. The new RM history book "A Century of Prairie Living" was available for sale hot off the press.

Congratulations to Darrell Clark and Sandra Chabot who were married on Aug. 24 near Strathmore, AB where they will be living. Darrell and Sandra, in their charitable natures, accepted donations to the MS Society in lieu of wedding gifts as both of them have family members that struggle with Multiple Sclerosis.
