Coffee Row was treated to rhubarb cupcakes when Don Bell bought coffee on Saturday for his birthday. Thanks Don, hope you had a good one! Out of town guests that morning were Charles Johnson of Kamsack, Trevor Nielsen of Innisfail, Alberta and Ed and Margie Oldham from Regina. The Hut looks fantastic with new linoleum installed at the East end where the rug used to be. Good job and a thank you to the volunteers that take such good care of our cozy community meeting place.
Congratulations to Jacklyn Johnson, youngest daughter of Norman and Debbie Johnson and Jordan Sies of Neudorf who were united in marriage in her parent's farmyard on Sat., June 23. The bride arrived with her parents in a wagon pulled by a team of horses owned and driven by Kiley Topliss. The sun shone and it was a beautiful outdoor wedding with a reception and dance at the Cecelia Hall in Grayson following the nuptials. The newlyweds are living in Grayson. Some former residents and members of the bride's family returning home for the wedding were: brother, Jamie Johnson from Richmond, BC; sister Jennah Johnson of Yorkton; cousins, Trevor Nielsen; Pat and Charles Johnson; Murray Nielsen and family of North Battleford; Kiley, Leah and Hailey Topliss from Balgonie; aunties, Arlene Franklin and Cindy Parker and from families from Tisdale and her uncle, Darrell Bauman and his family from Grayson.
Blyth Dean from New Zealand has been visiting with friends in and around Dubuc. He was able to take in the Johnson-Sies wedding while here in Canada.

Congratulations also to another high school graduate who started school while living in Dubuc, Alex Thievin, daughter of Reno and Nicole, who are now living in Lampman.
Sharon Clark travelled to Saskatoon to attend the grade eight graduation of her granddaughter, Tierra Clark, Vincent's second daughter. Then she was off to Cochrane, AB to attend the grade twelve graduation ceremonies for grandson, Daniel Nguyen, the oldest son of Tammy and Hoang (Sam).
Ron and Melba McAlpine have moved across the village into the vacant two bedroom unit at the Prairie Manor senior fourplex. Their children: from Lethbridge, AB, Michelle and Dion Nagy, Stephanie and Derrick; Sean and Debbie McAlpine, Leigh and Ian of Prince Albert; Rhonda and John Haubrick, Shirelle and Marty from right here; have all been helping with the packing up and unpacking. We hope you are settling in and enjoying your new home.
Get well wishes from Dubuc and Community to Larry Topliss who is a patient in the Yorkton hospital and to Cecilia Sikora, a patient in Esterhazy hospital. Also, we're glad to see Jim Talbot, Don Bell and Ron McAlpine are out and about while recuperating from their hospital stays.
After four trips to Sarcan and the beer bottle recycling depot, the Dubuc Recreation Association fundraiser is finally finished. Due to the generosity of community members, a total of $1058 was raised including a few cash donations in lieu of recyclables. Phyllis and Ed Freed of Yorkton surprised everyone at coffee row on Saturday. They brought donuts which were a real treat for us as we do not have many donut shops close-by! We had a lovely visit and it was nice to see them both looking good and feeling much better after some health issues. Thanks so much for thinking of the coffee row gang.
Doreen Kulcsar of Red Deer, AB and Sylvia Chinner from Lethbridge, AB were recent visitors with sisters, Vivian and Jim Talbot and also Chris and Larry Topliss.
Sincere sympathy from Dubuc and community goes to the family of Ted Ellwood who passed away Fri., June 29 at the age of 75 at St Anthony's Hospital in Esterhazy. He leaves to mourn his wife, Margaret and her extended family, his brother, Lorne Ellwood in the Esterhazy Centennial Special Care Home and his sister, Shirley Wickberg of Whitewood and both their families. A family graveside service will be held at the village cemetery and following the service, the community is invited to share remembrances with the family members during a luncheon at the Memorial Hall on Fri., July 6.
