Jim Arthurs from Calgary, AB is visiting with his sister, Melba and Ron McAlpine. He's been visiting with niece, John and Rhonda McAlpine-Haubrick, Marty and Shirelle, catching up on local news at coffee row and renewing many friendships while back home. He was also able to attend the Freed Memorial.

Donelle Olafson (Powell) and sons, Leith and Everett from Wasa, BC were home to visit with her parents, Leon and Susan Powell (Freed) and to attend their Uncle John's memorial service. She visited with friends in Dubuc, Esterhazy and Canora. She says she enjoyed her visit back home but was really disappointed that Dwight Duchek's garden peas were not quite ready to steal.

It was Audrey Nielsen's turn to buy birthday coffee and cake at the July 12th coffee row. The advertising her friends did must have worked because over 30 showed up from all over and of all ages! Out of towners in attendance were: her granddaughter, Denae Edwards, Nanaimo; Leith and Everett Olafson, Wasa; Darlene and Stuart Stevenson, Stockholm; Ted and Ellen Bateman, Grayson; Jean Kulcsar, Yorkton; Betty and Alan Willway from Crooked Lake (the Cowessess Mall coffee klatch wouldn't have been the same that morning without them!) and Willway's Texas friends, Glen and Carol Hein from Iowa.

Glen was also celebrating a birthday that day. It truly was a great session of visiting. Sharon (McAlpine) Tabbernor, Spy Hill was an afternoon coffee visitor with her school-days chum.

The monthly community potluck for July took the form of a BBQ. Hamburgers and hotdogs were grilled to perfection to accompany the potluck tableful of salads and desserts. Over 40 people enjoyed the evening. Earle Moller won the 50/50 draw and Brooke Helmeczi won the coasters that were donated by Sharon Clark for the door prize. A belated welcome to our community to Ivan and Bun Flick from Bird's Point, Round Lake who have moved into a 2 bedroom suite at the Prairie Manor senior housing unit back in May. The Flicks were forced from their home because of the severe flooding ongoing in the Qu'appelle Valley since April. We welcomed this new couple to their first potluck supper and hope we will see them come out again on the second Wednesday of every month.

Out of town guests attending were Trevor and Charlene Kerr, Jade and Jasmine, Stockholm and the girls' friends, Sam Dlouhy and Brooke Helmeczi, Esterhazy and Dayna and Jayme Markwart, Regina.
