Right now, conservation champions across Saskatchewan have a chance to win big while celebrating Ducks Unlimited Canada's (DUC) 75th anniversary.

The DUC Conservation Champions Lottery is a new and innovative way to raise funds for wetland conservation. Tickets are on sale now for the lottery's many outstanding prizes, including the $5,000 cash Early Bird prize that will be drawn on November 8. The proceeds will stay in Saskatchewan to help protect and conserve the marshes and ponds throughout the province.

"The DUC Conservation Champions lottery is a fun and easy way you can help support wetland conservation initiatives across the province while celebrating our 75th anniversary," says Bob Poley, Saskatchewan Development Manager for Ducks Unlimited Canada. "The date for the $5,000 Early Bird draw is just around the corner, so tell your friends and don't miss out. Someone has to win the Early Bird draw, and you never know - it could be you."

Wetlands are more than just marshes and ponds. They help to clean our drinking water, our lakes and our rivers. They also deliver amazing outdoor spaces to explore, and give all kinds of wildlife a place to call home. But despite these benefits, 28 acres (or 14 football fields) of wetlands are lost every day in Saskatchewan. The DUC Conservation Champions Lottery is a way to help stop this loss.

In total, only 9,000 tickets will be sold. In addition to the Early Bird cash prize, a $75,000 cash Grand Prize and 90 additional prizes will be drawn on December 3. Anyone who purchases a DUC Conservation Champions Lottery ticket becomes eligible to buy 50/50 raffle tickets.
