Employee award set

Nomination forms are now available for the 5th Annual Employee of the Year Award.

Nomination forms are now available for the 5th Annual Employee of the Year Award. Sponsored by the Yorkton Chamber of Commerce, the Award is an opportunity for employers and the community to recognize outstanding contributions by employees to their places of employment and to the community.

Amie Zamonsky, Chair of the Chamber's Events Committee emphasizes the ability for the community to be involved in the nomination process. "A unique feature of the Award is that a nomination does not have to be submitted by only an employee's employer. A member of the community, or even another business, can nominate someone deserving of this recognition!" she said.

Another feature of this award is that it is not just for employees of Chamber members. "Employees in all businesses in Yorkton an diate area are eligible for nomination", said Zamonsky. "The only criterion is that the employee must have been employed by the business for 2 or more years".

The Employee of the Year Award will be presented at the 2011 Employee Recognition Event to be held Wednesday May 4 at the St. Mary's Cultural Centre.

Nomination forms may be obtained from the Chamber office or from the Chamber website (www.yorktonchamber.com). Nominations are due April 8.

Photos and biographies of the nominees will be posted on the Chamber website for one week following the close of nominations.
