A 51-year-old man is dead and another 21-year-old male suffered undisclosed injuries in a crash just south of Yorkton late Monday afternoon.
At approximately 4:30 p.m. October 17, Police closed down the junction of Hwy 9 and Hwy 15 rerouting traffic while investigators documented the collision between the deceased man’s sedan and the younger man’s pickup truck.
No details were given on a possible cause of the collision and no charges have currently been laid.
The intersection was closed for nearly six hours. Mandy Maier, a spokesperson for RCMP F Division said a traffic reconstruction investigation can take up to several months to complete.
Police are asking any one who may have witnessed anything related to the incident to call Melville RCMP or Crimestoppers.
