On June 3 at 8:45 pm, members from the Esterhazy and Langenburg RCMP detachments responded to a single vehicle rollover three miles south of McNutt on Highway 8. The Langenburg Fire Department also attended to the scene to assist.
An SUV traveling south with three occupants had rolled in the east ditch after the driver appeared to lose control. The front passenger, a 77-year-old male from the Rocanville area, was pronounced dead at the scene and the other two occupants, a 59-year-old female back passenger and the 30-year-old female driver, were transported to hospital.
An RCMP Collision reconstructionist attended to the scene to take measurement and photos of the crash site to try and determine how this incident occurred. To date it has been determined that all of the occupants were wearing their seatbelts.
The name of the deceased will not be released.
The collision is still under investigation.
