BJ Carey of St. Walburg, SK came out on top of the annual Yorkton Dodge CPCA Chuckwagon Classic at the Cornerstone Raceway with an aggregated time of 2:10.68 over the weekend. Saturday's races were drowned out by bad weather, but the competition went ahead on Friday and Sunday. Chuckwagon races in Yorkton opened with a free McDonald's breakfast at Kahkewistahaw Gas & Convenience Store on Friday morning. Visitors could meet with the competition's drivers before they returned across the street to prepare for the first day of racing.

The public had a chance to grab autographs from CPCA outriders at a barbecue sponsored by Western Financial Group and Cruisin' Café downtown on Saturday. The barbecue raised $530 for Habitat for Humanity.

Jamie Laboucane waves to the crowd on his victory lap after finishing nearly a second and a half ahead of the competition on the half-mile track.
