On May 5 and 6, Saskatchewan residents can visit any one of SaskPower's 29 customer service offices to receive a free Green Ash seedling. Free seedlings will also be available at non-SaskPower locations in Creighton, Esterhazy and Ile-a-la Crosse.

"Every tree that the Greenhouse grows - and that our customers take home and transplant into the natural landscape - helps ensure the ongoing health of our province's environment," said acting SaskPower Shand Greenhouse manager Shelley Heidinger.

Visit saskpower.com to find a customer service office near you, or call 1-866-SP-TREES.

Each year, the Greenhouse distributes about 500,000 tree seedlings, which are distributed free of charge to not-for-profit agencies, service clubs, conservation agencies and individual landowners. Aside from having an interest in preserving and enhancing Saskatchewan's natural landscape, there are a few other criteria that must be before an organization can qualify for this program - details at saskpower.com/shandgreenhouse.
