Funds donated to new hospital

Kelly Price, Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager of the Yorkton Branch of the Canadian Western Bank presented a cheque for $1,000 to Ross Fisher of The Health Foundation. Mr. Price indicated, "we need a new regional hospital, I think most everyone understands that, and I think we have to demonstrate to the government that our community is prepared to step up and pay our community share of building a new hospital."

"Canadian Western Bank has just relocated to a new branch here in Yorkton, we have a long term commitment to Yorkton and this region," continued Mr. Price. "We have our employees plus thousands of customers who will use and benefit from a new regional hospital here in Yorkton."

"Our region is growing. With new businesses being started and increasing population, it is important that the hospital project move ahead. We make this donation to do our part in keeping the momentum going," continued Mr. Price.

"This is a very generous donation, and we are very pleased to have Canadian Western Bank indicate their support for a new hospital, both now and in the future, said Mr. Fisher. The government needs to know that the community will financially support a new hospital before they can announce that one will be built. After all, the community will be responsible for over 20% of all costs.

"Donations like this are very important to the work being done to prepare for a new regional hospital," said Mr. Fisher.
