Police in Broadview are cautioning the public to be vigilant for a possible predator in southeastern Saskatchewan.

On September 17, RCMP received a complaint from the parents of a 12-year-old girl who said she had been approached by an adult male who offered her money to get into his vehicle.

The incident occurred in Grenfell while the girl was on her way to school at approximately 8:30 a.m.

The girl described the man as Caucasian with a beard and unkempt clothing consisting of a blue sweater, faded jeans torn at the knees and worn black shoes.

She said the vehicle was an older model grey Chevrolet truck

An investigation is currently ongoing and Broadview RCMP has increased patrols in the area.

Although the incident occurred in Grenfell, residents throughout the area should be on the lookout for suspicious activity.
