The Yorkton Film Festival is proud to announce the nominees for 2018 Golden Sheaf Awards in our main and accompanying categories.
“We received a tremendous amount of submissions to this year’s festival, which gave our juries a very large task in adjudicating and reviewing this year’s films,” said YFF Executive Director Randy Goulden. “Several juries had days worth of footage to review, so I really do want to express my gratitude on behalf of the festival to the industry members who volunteered their time to adjudicate this year’s submissions.”
YFF presents awards in 17 main categories, with four additional accompanying categories also receiving nominations. The festival also awards 3 craft categories, which are adjudicated separately, and will be announced at a later time.
The festival’s new Digital Media category will also have nominees announced at the time of the Craft Nominees.
“The submissions this year have been absolutely wonderful, and it could not have been an easy task to select the best of the best from the films that were submitted. My congratulations to all of those filmmakers who have received nominations, I look forward to hosting all of you in Yorkton come May!” added Goulden.
Winners of this year’s Golden Sheaf Awards will be announced at the Golden Sheaf Awards Gala to take place on Saturday, May 25th in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.
