Father Methodius Kushko blesses a cairn honouring Brother Stanislaus (Joesph O'Reilly) for his "outstanding service and contributions as an educator and inspirational leader at St. Joseph's College" from 1919 to 1929 and 1931 to 1938. Fr. Kushko was himself a graduate of the college, one of many who went on to become priests. In May 2012, the St. Joseph's Alumni Association successfully lobbied City Council to designate the strip of green space the City had set aside as a buffer between a new residential subdivision and the former site St. Joseph's as Brother Stanislaus Greenway. In late December of 2012, the association received a grant from the Government of Saskatchewan's Community Initiatives Fund to help enhance the greenway. Over the summer of this year, the association, with the help of the City, installed benches and a picnic table, signs at either end of the park, a historical information placard and the cairn.
