Student education was a big part of last week's Grain Millers Harvest Showdown.
Over three days 711 Grade 4 and Grade 7 students from 21 schools from as far away as Invermay, Norquay, and Kamsack toured through a number of stations which gave information on various aspects of agriculture, including a scale threshing machine and elevator, a dairy cow milking demonstration, and information on grains, oilseeds, alpacas, goats, sheep, pigs and beef cattle.
The student tours were sponsored by Mosaic, with Farm Credit Canada staff helping with the on-site tours.
