In spite of cold temperatures and brisk wind which pushed the windchill temperature near -50C, the 14th annual Vintage Sled Race went off at the Saltcoats Regional Park Saturday.
The annual event, hosted by the Saltcoats Volunteer Firefighters as a fundraiser, highlights one-cyclinder snowmobiles which must be pre-1974.
The old sleds competed over a 100-mile groomed track
