Travellers in northwestern Saskatchewan should be on the lookout for construction work, as three sections of Highway 55 between Green Lake and Meadow Lake are set for a $12.6 million repaving project.

"This important work in the northwest is one of more than 30 paving projects currently underway in the province," Highways and Infrastructure Minister Don McMorris said. "I want to remind drivers to slow to 60 km/h in Work Zones so these projects are completed safely."

Other new maintenance and upgrade work underway in the province this week includes paving on Highway 14 west of Unity and bridge rehabilitation on Highway 8 over the Qu'Appelle River.

The weekly construction update provides Saskatchewan residents with the latest details on projects underway to help to plan safe and efficient travel throughout the summer and fall.
