On the north side, the two storey building on the left is R.A. Patrick’s drug store, next is Markham’s livery barn. Both these buildings are situated where the Dunlop Block now stands. Farther along there is George Betts store with a projecting sign and then across Third Avenue, where the Bank of Toronto stood, now Alexander’s Men’s Wear was T.H. Collacott’s Hardware Store. The small cottage seen at the end of the street is the home of Duncan McLeod. At the right, on the south side of Broadway is Thomas Meredith’s General Store with offices above. James Crerar’s sign is seen on this side of the building.
