Evergreen Motors, #12 Fourth Avenue North –(Across the lane north of the Toronto-Dominion Bank.) Circa 1960s.
A garage was originally built in 1941 by E.J. Fitchner of Foam Lake. W.E. Fitchner, who was mayor from 1957 to 1968 became owner in 1966.
In more recent times, for several years the building housed the York House Dining & Lounge.
The three-storey building in the background on Third Avenue North is the Patrick Block, which housed a theatre, offices and apartments. It was torn down in 1964.
