This postcard dated 1914 was sent by a Yorkton friend to Mrs. Cloe Ann Junget at Pincher Creek, Alberta. The sender whose signature is illegible wanted to show off Yorkton’s new grandstand to former residents Royal North West Mounted Police Inspector Christen Junget and his wife Cloe. Junget had been transferred to the Pincher Creek Detachment in 1913. The construction of a grandstand was such an important event and a big improvement over the usual uncovered bleachers. In the foreground there appears to be a band playing and several members of the Royal North West Mounted Police.
