This postcard was sent around 1914 by C.Davies to a Miss M. Bunis C/O Mrs. William Davies of Beaverdale, Saskatchewan. The sender talks about the curling bonspiel and how busy it is at the hotel. The City of Yorkton Archives received this postcard from Janet Maunsell of North Battleford, Sask. The postcard came into her possession from a cousin, Gordon Macdougall who found it at an estate sale in Seattle, Washington.
The lobby of the Balmoral Hotel was obviously quite elaborate, and it appears that the display cases contained boxes of cigars and cigarettes, probably chocolate bars and postcards.
