Yorkton Fire Protective Services responded to a blaze at a house on Blackwell Crescent at about 7:30 on Sunday evening, bringing it under control within an hour.
Damage was largely restricted to the garage where the fire began and to the home's attic.
An adjacent house suffered heat damage, but firefighters kept the flames from spreading to the building.
