Karl Wolf returning to city

August 2010 changed Yorkton's entertainment surroundings in a positive way with the introduction of Indestructible Entertainment and their first concert announcement of Karl Wolf. A year has passed and Yorkton is now viewed as a tour routing destination and a returning point for Karl Wolf who performs at the Ukranian Orthodox Auditorium on Sunday, September 25th for an All Ages performance.

Wolf is a Lebanese Canadian musician based in Montreal and has been a singer, songwriter and producer since 2001. His groundbreaking single, "Africa" was certified 3x platinum and secured #1 on MuchMusic, AC Radio and iTunes. The single spent 8 weeks at #2 on the Billboard singles chart and received over 10,000,000 You Tube hits. His latest single "Ghetto Love" is following a similar trend. "It was the most heard Canadian song this week already reaching gold and #9 in Japan right now", noted Wolf. Although grateful of the his success, Wolf states the passion and love for his music keeps the inspiration strong. "It's not about sales, it's not a science. Once you think scientific you lose". Wolf added, "You gotta think fun, music and inspiration".

The heavily female attended performances have also taken on a more diverse crowd. "I'm noticing other parts of world a lot more guys are attending," informed Wolf. "I think the more we do shows, the more people see how energetic we are and people talk". The steps to success is his preference over a skyrocketing overnight phenomenon. "If you rise so fast you don't have the experience. It's just there," explained Wolf. Working with an extremely impressive roster including Snoop Dogg, Taio Cruz, Choclair and Kardinal Offishall has allowed Wolf's recognition to increase. "The music industry is very small - everyone knows each other."

Karl is eager for his Yorkton return, stating secondary markets are a little more special. "All positive feedback, even a tweet keeps me excited." Wolf adds, "the ultimate goal is to make people happy. I don't think I'm better than anyone. It's amazing seeing fans react because this is your baby." Tickets for the event are available for $22 at Booster Juice and Cab Clothing in the Parkland Mall. Doors open at 7 p.m. for this all aged/licensed concert.
