The Yorkton Knights of Columbus, Father Delare Council recently donated $1,000 to assist funding the conceptual plan for a new Regional Hospital.

"This is a wonderful donation and it comes at a great time," said Ross Fisher, Executive Director of The Health Foundation. "We really do need community organizations and businesses from throughout the region to make a contribution to funding the conceptual plan".

"This is particularly welcome as we know the Knights have a number of other commitments in the community; every year they fund education programs and scholarships, as well as other community programs for people in need or distress. The Knights have a long history of working to help make our community a better place," continued Mr. Fisher.

Dave Spelay, the Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, when presenting the Health Foundation a cheque for $1,000 commented that the Knights of Columbus are proud to support the community through a variety of worthwhile causes. "Healthcare is something that you hope you and your loved ones don't need, but if you do need it you want it to be there. We like to support healthcare projects because eventually we all need the healthcare system, and we like to do what we can to make sure the healthcare available to us locally is the best it can be."
