The Health Foundation is very pleased to be able to announce that Information Services Corporation (ISC) has agreed to become the sponsor of the Learn to Run clinics.

ISC has supported many of our fundraising programs to assist us in raising money for new medical equipment in the past.

This is the first year we have had a sponsor for our running clinics, and we are glad ISC has agree to work with us on this. We needed a sponsor this year as we have expanded the clinics. Normally we only have clinics for beginners, this year we will be delivering three running clinics: one for beginners, a 10 km clinic, and a half marathon clinic for those who already run.

"We wanted to keep our clinic for beginners, because it is very important to us to have that entry point for people who don't run, but would like to introduce an element of fitness into their lifestyle. We know it is often much easier to begin when you participate with others who are at the same level you are", said Ross Fisher Executive Director of The Health Foundation.

"Through ISC's Community Investment program, ISC is very happy to support the Health Foundation," said Angela Bethune, Manager, Corporate Communications, Information Services Corporation. "ISC gives 1.5 percent of net income back to the community, focusing on activities and non-profit organizations that support life events, Saskatchewan growth and Saskatchewan history. "This event fits in perfectly with our corporate goals, and helps us to do something very positive for people," said Ms. Bethune.

Through this program, ISC is also supporting The Health Foundation's Charity Road Race, which raises funds to purchase medical equipment. This year The Health Foundation is raising funds for an additional ultrasound machine for the Yorkton Regional Hospital. The purchase of that equipment will improve access to healthcare for thousands of people. ISC is very pleased to assist that fundraising.
