Students of Parkland College's Emergency Medical Responder program went through their final practical training exercises November 27 at Yorkton's fire hall. Students extract two vehicle collision victims-members of the Yorkton Regional High School Drama Club-from a wrecked car.

The three week certificate program is recognized by the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics  and provides the knowledge and skills necessary for firefighters, law enforcement, emergency medical service personnel, etc. in an emergency to help sustain life, reduce pain, and minimize the consequences of injury or sudden illness until the next level of health care personnel takes over.
