The Yorkton Lions Club renewed a long-term commitment to Dr. Brass School Friday by again making a donation to the Yorkton school’s breakfast program.
“The Dr. Brass Breakfast Program wouldn’t exist as awesome as it does,” without the support of the Lions Club, said principal Jason Gordon.
The club has been making an annual donation of $2,500 for “upwards of 15 years,” he added.
Lion Denny Vachon told the assembled students Friday morning the Lions look forward each year to attending the school in the spring to cook up a pancake breakfast for students, and that ties into the annual donation to support the breakfast program.
