Local SARCAN takes award

Customer Service Awards were presented to SARCAN depots throughout Saskatchewan, with the Yorkton facility bringing home the Cleanliness Award in the extra-large depot category.

SARCAN Recycling strives to provide top notch customer service in a clean and friendly environment. Each year, secret shoppers visit every SARCAN depot in Saskatchewan and determine the best depots for SARCAN’s Annual Customer Service Awards.

“Our employees take pride in their depots, and it shows,” said Sean Collins, SARCAN’s Assistant Director of Operations in a prepared release. “The Customer Service Awards provide deserved recognition for our employees who work hard to keep their depots clean and provide top-notch customer service,” added Collins.

The Yorkton depot has a staff of 10, and in 2014 handled just under nine million bottles and cans.

Award recipients vary annually from SARCAN’s network of 72 locations province-wide, from smaller towns and communities to larger urban centres.

Other depots in the region to receive awards included a Customer Service Award for Ituna in the small depot category and a medium depot category Accuracy Award for Canora.

All Customer Service Award winners were presented with a plaque to display in their depot.
