On Saturday, October 27 the University of Saskatchewan fall convocation was held at TCU Place in Saskatoon. There were 994 students who graduated from the U of S on Saturday. These graduates join a community of more than 130,000 others, who, year after year, continue to build upon the success of those before them.
During the morning convocation ceremony Ilene Busch-Vishniac was installed as the ninth president and vice-chancellor of the University of Saskatchewan. The installation of Busch-Vishniac formally recognizes her assumption of the powers and responsibilities of the office of president and vice-chancellor. An Aboriginal honour song, an oath of responsibilities and messages of congratulations were all part of the special installation ceremony.
